Sometimes the barrier isn’t ability. It’s the route people are expected to take.
So we start differently. Not with what someone can’t do, but with what they can.
Skills. Experience. Ideas. Ambition. They don’t disappear because a traditional route becomes inaccessible.
IT’S POSSIBLE NOW creates another route into employment, self-employment and enterprise.
That might begin at home, online, in a workplace, or with a small idea that can grow.
And where disability or a health condition creates an extra cost or practical barrier, support may already exist. Government programmes such as Access to Work can provide eligible people with practical support to help them start or stay in work.
And that can include self-employment, turning ability into real economic participation.
Because sometimes the answer isn’t fitting somebody into an old job. It’s creating a new way to earn. A product. A service. A trade. A customer. A sale. Income.
And support should lead somewhere: towards confidence, responsibility, independence and progress.
That is why we say Difability. Not to deny disability, but to make sure disability never becomes the whole definition of a person.

It is for disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, veterans and anyone facing barriers to work, and for the people who support them. Organisations take part too: employers, funders, venues and community partners can work with IT’S POSSIBLE NOW by employing, funding, hosting or referring.
If you are not sure whether it is for you, register your interest and tell us about yourself. You do not need to share a diagnosis.
BUILD is independent enterprise: starting or growing your own business or trade. WORK is genuine paid employment, with the adjustments you need. SHAPE is paid co-design and testing: being paid to find barriers in workplaces, services and spaces and to test the changes that remove them. Every route leads to earning, and you can choose more than one.

Yes. Registering your interest is free, takes a few minutes and commits you to nothing. Getting in touch with Difability is also free, and so is Difability membership for organisations. If you register through the contact form, you do not need to share a diagnosis.
Registering is the first step on every route, and what is available to you depends on fit and on the partners and funding in place. We will be clear with you about what is available. The route is worked out together in conversation, and the measures we publish look at what happens afterwards, such as paid starts, earnings and trading that lasts.
An employer can offer a genuine paid role with clear expectations, proper adjustments and a way to progress. Each role is agreed with the employer around the person, so there is no vacancy list. Employers can use the contact form and choose “I represent an employer”.
